Papuma Beach

Beside Watu Ulo beach, there is Papuma beach with its white sands that make it more interesting. The beautiful white sand is pleasure to see and to walk on. The beach is always used as the place for sunbathing by foreign tourists. Besides its natural scenic beauty, it is also rich of animals, such as the lizard, forest cock, various birds, wild pig, deer porcupine, scaly anteater and many others. The scenery and atmosphere can be enjoyed more completely at a restaurant which provides Indonesian and Papuma food, a variety of baked fish. Visitors can reach the location by public transportation or via rental car. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes

Beautiful Landscape Baluran National Park

Taman Nasional Baluran merupakan perwakilan ekosistem hutan yang spesifik kering di Pulau Jawa, terdiri dari tipe vegetasi savana, hutan mangrove, hutan musim, hutan pantai, hutan pegunungan bawah, hutan rawa dan hutan yang selalu hijau sepanjang tahun. Sekitar 40 persen tipe vegetasi savana mendominasi kawasan Taman Nasional Baluran.

Tumbuhan yang ada di taman nasional ini sebanyak 444 jenis, diantaranya terdapat tumbuhan asli yang khas dan menarik yaitu widoro bukol (Ziziphus rotundifolia), mimba (Azadirachta indica), dan pilang (Acacia leucophloea). Widoro bukol, mimba, dan pilang merupakan tumbuhan yang mampu beradaptasi dalam kondisi yang sangat kering (masih kelihatan hijau), walaupun tumbuhan lainnya sudah layu dan mengering.
Tumbuhan yang lain seperti asam (Tamarindus indica), gadung (Dioscorea hispida), kemiri (Aleurites moluccana), gebang (Corypha utan), api-api (Avicennia sp.), kendal (Cordia obliqua), manting (Syzygium polyanthum), dan kepuh (Sterculia foetida).

Terdapat 26 jenis mamalia diantaranya banteng (Bos javanicus javanicus), kerbau liar (Bubalus bubalis), ajag (Cuon alpinus javanicus), kijang (Muntiacus muntjak muntjak), rusa (Cervus timorensis russa), macan tutul (Panthera pardus melas), kancil (Tragulus javanicus pelandoc), dan kucing bakau (Prionailurus viverrinus).

Satwa banteng merupakan maskot/ciri khas dari Taman Nasional Baluran.

Selain itu, terdapat sekitar 155 jenis burung diantaranya termasuk yang langka seperti layang-layang api (Hirundo rustica), tuwuk/tuwur asia (Eudynamys scolopacea), burung merak (Pavo muticus), ayam hutan merah (Gallus gallus), kangkareng (Anthracoceros convecus), rangkong (Buceros rhinoceros), dan bangau tong-tong (Leptoptilos javanicus).

Pada Hm. 80 Batangan – Bekol , terdapat sumur tua yang menjadi legenda masyarakat sekitar. Legenda tersebut menceritakan bahwa kota Banyuwangi, Bali dan Baluran sama-sama menggali sumur. Apabila, sumur di masing-masing kota tersebut lebih dahulu mengeluarkan air dan mengibarkan bendera, berarti kota tersebut akan merupakan sentral keramaian/ kebudayaan.

Siung Beach
It is located in Purwodadi Village, Tepus sub district, about 35 kilometers from Wonosari City with asphal road to the beach. Siung biach lies betwewn two step monutain which have a specific cliff, it’s very suitable for rock climbing and this is heaven for climbers because they have at least 250 climb ways with beatiful sea panorama, it’s nice rock climbing with rumbling wave and fresh sea wind blow. There is terrasering farmalands that surrounded by a habitat of primates (monkeys with long tail).


Ngandong Beach
It’s located Sidoharjo Village, Tepus sub district, about 500 m in west of Sundak beach, has straching white sand. In the same area with Ngandong beach, there is Community Off Road’s house (CRAB Resort) at Watu Lawang wich has hacilities as five strars hotel such as hall, Spa, etc. very suitable for relaxing and weekend.

Sepanjang Beach
Sepanjang Beach in Kemadang village, Tanjungsari sub district, about 2 km away in the east of Kukup beach. With it’s white sandy beach and its exclusive quality, Sepanjang beach is very ideal for sun bathing. It also ideal to becomes a conservation beach, because in the certain times turtles for producing eggs use this beach.
